Ridiculous

I finally got a doctor at the university clinic to call me. They said they were a month behind in booking, so they’ll call back in mid-November to schedule something. Maybe by Christmas.

Wait… what?

So I call another practice. We might could see you before that, the receptionist said, if your current provider gets your paperwork in quickly. Maybe after Thanksgiving.

Um. Okay.

So I take a risk and call a practice downtown. I didn’t want to, because one of my students goes there. Awkward waiting room sighting waiting to happen and whatnot.

We’re not taking new patients right now. If you haven’t seen a psych by January, call back. We may start accepting new patients then.

I need to see someone. This month. Not next year.
